Dr. Dan Truong
Pediatric Dentist
"I don't want to just fix teeth, I want to be the person your family actually trusts. That means listening first, explaining everything, and letting you and your child have a real say in what happens. The good stuff comes from that partnership."
Dr. Dan Truong
Hi, I'm Dr. Dan! I'm a board-certified pediatric dentist here in Roseville, and I love what I do. My approach is pretty simple: it's about your kid, not just their teeth. I pay attention to the whole picture: how they breathe, how they sleep, how they're growing, because it all connects. I'm also trained on the Solea laser, which means a lot of visits happen with no needles and no drill. Kids notice. Parents really notice.
The thing I care most about is the relationship. I take a patient-centered approach, which is a fancy way of saying you and your child are the ones steering. I'll walk you through what I see and what your options are, and then we decide together. I believe strongly in patient autonomy. Even the little ones get a voice in how their visit goes. Every appointment is an opportunity to build trust and nurture that relationship, so that coming to the dentist feels less like a chore and more like seeing someone who's in your corner. It's a partnership, and I take that seriously.
I'm a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. I have also researched early expansion for kids with sleep apnea.
When I'm not at the office, I'm a husband and a dad, and those are the jobs I'm proudest of. My wife, Katherine, and I are raising our son, plus one very enthusiastic golden retriever. Being a parent changed how I practice. I know what it's like to worry about a toddler's sleep, to lose the vegetable negotiation, and to want the absolute best for a little person who can't always tell you what's wrong. I bring that same patience into every appointment, because I know your kid is your whole world too.
